Oslo works well on your own. Ships dock at central piers, public transport runs on one ticket system, and many sights are close together. Booking your own city walk, fjord cruise or Bygdøy museum tour gives you more choice and smaller groups, at your own pace. The ship's tours suit anyone who would rather leave the timing to the cruise line. Browse the tours below and use the time-ashore filter to find one that fits your call.

FAQ
Four central piers are used for cruise ships: Filipstad, Søndre Akershuskai, Vippetangkaia and Revierkaia. Your ship uses one of them, so check the pier name on your itinerary. Once ashore, a city walk or fjord cruise is a nice way to see the harbor; browse the tours below.
The piers are in the center of town and the harbor promenade passes the fortress, City Hall and Aker Brygge. The port publishes no walking times, so look at a map for your pier.
