Sailing this September on the Emerald Princess!

Big news—we’ve officially booked our next adventure, and this one is a dream cruise come true! This September, we’re setting sail on a 14-day journey aboard the Emerald Princess with Princess Cruises, heading deep into Norway on their “Search for the Northern Lights” itinerary. Ever since our Alaska cruise, we’ve been craving another cold-weather voyage, and this one promises bucket-list moments, stunning scenery, and shore excursions we’re already counting down to.

Where We’re Headed

Norway is calling, and our itinerary is packed with some seriously epic stops:

  • Trondheim – This charming city feels like stepping back in time, with colorful wharves along the river and one of Europe’s most stunning cathedrals. Perfect for a day of exploring Viking history and cozy cafés.

  • Tromsø – Nicknamed the “Gateway to the Arctic,” this is one of the best spots on earth to witness the Northern Lights. Between fjord cruises, husky encounters, and breathtaking viewpoints, this stop is all about Arctic adventure vibes.

  • Alta – Known as the “City of the Northern Lights,” Alta offers fascinating Sami culture, ancient rock carvings, and a higher chance than ever to see the auroras dance overhead.

  • Lofoten Islands (Gravdal) – Picture dramatic peaks rising straight from the sea, tiny fishing villages, and some of the most jaw-dropping scenery in all of Norway. We’re already dreaming of a scenic RIB boat tour here!

  • Ålesund – A coastal stunner with unique Art Nouveau architecture and panoramic viewpoints you’ll never forget. Perfect for snapping those last, “wish you were here” photos before sailing back.

Wrapping Up in Royal Style

Even after disembarking, the adventure keeps going! We’ve arranged a pickup straight from the cruise port to visit two legendary UK landmarks—Stonehenge and Windsor Castle—before heading home. It’s the perfect way to cap off two weeks of incredible scenery, culture, and once-in-a-lifetime moments. (If you are interested in this type of experience you can find the cruise transfer we booked from Southampton--HERE)

From hunting for the aurora borealis to exploring storybook towns and rugged coastlines, this cruise is shaping up to be one of our most unforgettable yet. We can’t wait to take you along for every shore excursion, every scenic sailaway, and hopefully, every magical Northern Lights sighting. Stay tuned—this is going to be one epic journey!
